Question about 1988 Jeep Wrangler
When right turn signal activated, front turn signal light flashes and all three rear brake lights flash at the same time as does right turn dash turn signal indicator. Front right turn signal lense was cracked and moisture ingress; socket and pigtail had corroded and melted. I cleaned harness terminal and installed new bulb and pigtail to get it operational to this point. Left turn signal circuit works fine as do brake lights, 4-way flashers and tail lights when right turn signal is off. It is not burning any bulbs or fuses. I suspect turn signal switch mechanism has some burnt/shorted contacts from the initial front turn signal light burn out. Is this correct or could it be something else.
Your socket may not be grounded properly, I have seen this before, and the simplest way to fix is change the socket with a new one.Not another used one it may also be bad.
