I'm having the same problem. when I start my car after sitting for a few hours, it shakes and sputters and almost feels like it is going to shut off. when I start driving it won't gain power, then it will speed ahead, then it will loose power, and then get to normal. This goes on for about a half mile or so. Then at cruising speed it is fine and rides really smooth. It is reading multiple cylinder misfires. We have changed the O2 sensors, the fuel pump, the spark plugs, and a million other things. Any ideas?

I have seen this problem and it is very often a problem with the engine wiring harness, where that may lie is anyones guess, look at places where the harness moves around allot.

Sputtering when accelerating

If it idles ok and only "sputters" under load it could be either an ignition or fuel problem. How long has it been since the fuel filter was changed? How about spark plugs and wires? Without the proper diagnostic equipment and the vehicle in front of me, these are the easiest things for the DIYer to tackle with the fuel filter being the cheapest option.

Cannot find cruise control

hi there
you will find a switch some where near the dash light dimmer switch that will say off and on
what you need to do
  1. have the car going in a forward moton and doing 40kph or more
  2. when you have reached the desired speed that you wish to set you need to turn the cruse control on then at the strearing wheel you will see a button saying "set"
  3. once the light on the dash bord has come on then you can take your foot off and it should remain at the speed you set it at.
now some tips and did you know
  1. when you have set a speed you can increase it by pressing the plus or minus button to either increase or decreas your speed and it will automatically remember it
  2. when you want to over take and you have your cruse set at a speen you can use the exelaretor to go faster and once you have passed you can press resume to go back to the speed you where doing before you applyed more power
  3. did you know cruse control is more economical then usng the exelarator it can save you fuel.
  4. do not use cruse control in wet weather as it can cause a skid if you hit a p[uddle of water laying on the road
  5. to stop the cruse form working just put your foot on the break

hope this helps
