I also have a mirage. I had to put the code in using the preset numbers and then press the cd button and the code made the radio turn on.

Radio will not go off

Hi Steve, I'm glad to help! I'm assuming you installed the CD Player and now it stays on. Most CD Players have 2 power wires, sometimes only 1. If your only has one then you have your power wire connected to a wire on the vehicle that stays hot with the key in the off position. Here's what you do to find the wire you need. Take a test light and place it on a fuse in the fuse block, then turn the key off and if the test light turns off thats where you want to connect the power wire for the CD Player. Then when you turn the key off the CD Player will go off also. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Steve.

New cd player will not go off in my 05 dodge magmun

Hi Steve, I'm glad to help!

All CD Players have 2 power wires, one stays hot all the time and the other is only powered when you turn the key on. Check the power wires, if both of them are hot with the key in the off position then it is wired incorrectly. Look at the instruction and find the wire that stays hot all the time, now find the wire that only powers up when you turn the key on. TAKE THAT WIRE, and find a place to connect it that IS NOT HOT when you turn the key off and this will fix your issue. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Steve.

CD player won't load

the CD player is toast.
can you <? i dont know, are you a technician>
but for sure it can be fixed, any tech can
but will cost more than a new CD head.
that is why we throw away things, 2 hr. labor + parts is more that
china new player.... economics.
You could remove the lid and see if some young kid stuffed
in some junk into the slot.
or you see it is totally broken parts inside.

Cds are stuck in the default cd player of 2001 Dodge Intrepid. How do I get them out?

The first step is turning the car off. Then before turning the key back on, push and hold the Eject button then turn the ignition on. If the CD fails to eject then you can use a old CD and try to insert it into the CD Player, just as it try's to take your second CD pull it out and hit the Eject button again. This will usually get a Dodge CD player to Eject.
If this fails then the CD player must be removed and a manual eject can be performed.

2004 truck delco radio 5 disc cd player. cd

Common for the CD to get stuck on the Delco radio, Try resetting the radio by disconnecting the battery for 5 min and then reinstalling the cables. This will reset the radio and you should get your CD to work again, if there is an issue. You going to have to go to the dealer and they are going to have to use a Tech2 scanner to reset and reprogram the radio. If there is any mechanical issues the Tech2 scanner will identify the issues, but 90% of the time. It's just a simple reset and the other 10% is a reprogram or replacing the unit.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck.
