Have you checked your ignition fuse? Check that first. Make sure the battery is connected properly and the terminals are tight and not loose. They may need done over. May need new terminals. They are only a few bucks a piece. Check all your wires and make sure none are damaged. Check your wires at the starter and make sure they are not damaged. Check for burnt wires at the starter as well. If you have no interior lights, you have a bad connection at the battery. If you do have lights, recheck all the wires to the charging system.

Car just refuses to start

Clicking usually indicates low charge on battery, but it can also be the contacts from the battery to the engine and frame. Check the cables to see if they are not making good contact or corroded--if you are a DIY enthusiast change the battery cables or get a metal-wire brush & wrenches & clean everywhere they connect.

Another preliminary task is to do a wiggle test--wiggle all the wiring you can see under the hood & try restarting to see if there's an intermittant wiring or harness connection problem with anything under the hood. Honda Pilots have problems like this with the main wiring harness.

2000 reg clio 1.2 and SOMETIMES it will not start.

Hi, if when you turn the key to start the car the engine dont turn over as if its trying to start then this indicates that you have a problem with your starter motor it is the selanoid on the starter starting to fail

Sometimes it will turn the engine over starting the car and other times it will do nothing and you might here a slight clocking noise coming from the starter motor.

If your battery is ok and holds the charge ie the lights are bright without the car running then this indicates that your battery is ok and that the starter needs replacing. Sometimes you can get away with giving the starter motor a few taps with a hammer this sometimes clears any muck inside the starter selonoid getting it working for a bit longer but eventually it wont work at all so its best ot get this done sooner rather that later.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Peugeot 206 2001 petrol intermitant fault with starter motor

If the starter motor is sticking, it can draw a large current. If there is power down to the starter motor while its not starting then the starter is faulty. You can test this with a multimeter or just a test bulb connected to the smaller of the two wires on the starter, while cranking.Check you have a good earth from the battery to the engine. If the bulb lights up but no engine cranking then its a faulty starter.
