I have a 1995 ford mustang gt i will be going down the road and it will just shut off a few mins later it will pick back up sometimes u can get in it to start it and it wont do anything its like its not getting fire after awhile it will start what could be my problem?

check for water in the coils, leads distributor cap, ECM connections

Very late but for anyone else with this problem. I used to have this occur when I drove around for a bit. I'd drive and after 5-20 mins the car would just stall on me. It wouldn't start immediately and sometimes just waiting an hour or 2 and trying again made it start and drivable for a few minutes again. The problem was the ignition coil. I spent over $1400 changing parts to find out it was an $18 fix and took 10 mins to swap out. If the rpms do jump around a lot then yes the stator would be the problem. If it just stalls even while driving, it's the ignition coil. If neither, test the voltage regulator. Hope this help. Happy driving!!

Your problem is it is a ford,LOL:

Sure or it could be the fuel filter or bad fuel pump.

Ignition Control Module is bad. When the dielectric grease used to mount them gets hard,they overheat and cause you to shut down. Really easy to install(about 10 mins.). I had this happen on two Fords. If you let the engine sit and cool down,they will fire up and run till that part gets hot,then itll die on ya. Auto zone sells this part for around 35 bucks.

try replacing the EEC relay and fuel pump relay,i have run into this problem on some fords before,they are relatively cheap and easy to replace,thay are under the hood,hope this helps

Check the shift silonoid first
