SOURCE: engine light 2006 pontiac g6(reset)
first be sure that its the engine light and not the "service" light. the service light will usually illuminate if its time for an oil change. if its the service light ur owners manual should tell u how to reset it. if its ur engine light then try disconnecting ur positive battery cable for 1 minute. that should reset ur ecm and get rid of the engine light. if the engine light comes back on then have a diagnostic scan done to determine whats causing it. SOURCE: can not compress the rear
you can't use a c-clamp to compress the rear calipers. just as adidas_153 said you need a special tool that you can rent from Autozone for a $30 deposit.
The rear calaper pistons don't press in. You need to take a large pair of chanel lock pliers and twist them (screw them in).The pistions have indentions in them that the dows on the pads have to line up with or the pads won't seat flush against the calaper.

Remove everything from the headliner and remove all of the trim holding it in place. Carefully pry the headliner out from one side and the rest will now be easily removed. Unless the car has been subject to abuse and intense heat the headliner will not come loose from the backing and can be reinstalled.
