My 2005 Ford Taurus is giving code 2195 and 2197, what can be the problem?

I think your car has the obd2 code problem, you can use a scan tool to read the code out and then delete it, it will turn off.

Is the fuse box for 2005 ford taurus the same as the 06,07? and mine has remote for the keys.

it sounds like you may have plugged catalytic converter your car has three converters most likely one of the front two has broken apart inside and plugged up the third converter in your system.

It will be impossible to give you any better than a broad answer here, because there are literally hundreds of possibilities as to why a check engine light(CEL) comes on. The system would have to be scanned to retrieve whatever fail codes there are. Then, we would use a manual (that is literally 3 inches thick)that contains flow charts with pinpoint tests, using a voltmeter, to hand diagnose, and find out what is wrong. This process can take a few minutes, it may take a couple of hours, depending on what is actually wrong.

this is a 2005 tarus with a code of po171, this code is not a mass air flow sensor code this code is defined as bank 1 system lean, ive run into this many times, this may be caused by a weak fuelpump or a vacuum leak, the most common problem i've found was a vacuum leak, check the pcv system and around intake for split hoses. hope this helps,

If it comes back on within the next few days the take it to a large auto parts store and most will bring their computer out and hook it to your car and read the code the light will leave in your car computer,then they tell what the code says and try to sell you the part.You might car the auto parts store first and tell them what you have and ask if then can read your code for you.Its usually a free service.
