My husband hit the horn too hard and it is stuck. How do we turn it off? Do we have to go into the steering wheel or is there something under the hood we can do?

I have the same issue, but when I put a new fuse(relay) in, my horn still doesn't work. Any ideas?

I have been without a horn for a year and a half, and now the oil sending unit has sprung a leak right after the car was paid off.

I had the same problem with my horn and i have an 03 Alero and they said that the horn wires are grounded and to replace it at the dealer it was over a grand. and your airbags dont work either because your relay is out so you may want to invest if you are going to have the car for awhile

my horn hasnt worked for a while now and supposedly it is as easy as buying the horn. but how will i know for sure if its the horn or the relay or something else? where can i find the horn to switch it?

Ground wire is lose inside the steering column. Common issue with Alero's, sadly.

Horn won't work

Did you pull the steering wheel off the shaft? If not, you won't be able to tell anything. Sounds like the cable going through has been worn through/broken. Likely wore through until it touched something, which set it "off" but still intact, then your tugging pulled it enough to completely break what little was still intact. Should be a very simple wire splice once the steering wheel is off (that's the hard part).

Horn wont work

Have you checked your fuses? Your horn fuse should most likely be under your steering wheel on the left hand side wall, near the front driver door. look for a lil door to pull off and that's where you fuses are. Look at the diagram and see if you find horn fuse, pull that fuse out and inspect if it is good. careful in doing so the fuses are sometimes hard to get out. Fuses are also located under the hood near the driver side door.

Is it safe to take horn cover off ? will air-bag blow out ? horn does not work...I think contact is broken....( this is on sterring wheel ....) I hit horn real hard when it was cold, now horn does not...

Airbag wont go off. It doesnt discharge by tampering, its electrical..... Dont mess with any yellow wires tho. Im pretty sure airbag wires are double yellow. Or wrapped in yellow tape/casing.

Horn came on one day and now wont shut off unless fuse is pulled?

Check the horn relay - it might be stuck. If the horn is OK then the only thing left is the horn button - pull out its wires, if the horn stops then the button is broken if not then its the relay.

The Horn started going off constantly without warning and would not turn off until I pulled the Fuse. What would cause this? (2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT)

Thought it might be stuck. Was gonna tell you to hit the horn on the steering wheel to see if it was stuck. LOL You could still try that LOL take the cover off and check the wiring there.

Just had a similar problem. Brake (stop) lights and horn didn't work. Couldn't find mention of stop lights in fuse chart. Found horn fuse to be slot 21 in the engine fuse block (not the fuse block in car interior). Replaced 15A fuse and all now ok.

Horn wont stop

sounds like the horn contact terminal inside the steering wheel got disconnected and is hitting a metal part of the steering column which triggers the horn. the terminal that got disconnected is probably has positive polarity and the metal part of the steering column has negative polarity. If they come in contact with each other... *honk* *honk*
