I have a 1985 Suzuki GS700ES. Where do wires from my 2 coil packs go to which spark plug. Thanks

The 1985 Suzuki GS700ES is a motorcycle that is equipped with two coil packs, each responsible for providing the spark to two cylinders. To determine which wire from the coil pack goes to which spark plug, you can consult the wiring diagram for your motorcycle.
If you don't have a wiring diagram, you can also determine the correct wire placement by using a spark tester. To do this, you'll need to disconnect one of the spark plug wires from a spark plug and connect it to the spark tester. Then, turn on the engine and observe which spark plug is firing. Repeat this process for each of the remaining spark plug wires until you have determined the correct placement for all of the wires.
It's important to ensure that the wires are properly connected, as incorrect placement can result in poor engine performance or damage to the ignition system.

After I drive in water my engine come hot an dies

You probably need new spark plug wires with new boots.

Sounds like water is splashing up thru the wheel wells and spraying on the engine (which makes the engine steam) and the moisture sometimes makes the spark ground out especially if the engine is dirty and the spark can leave the wire more easily and ground out on the engine block etc.

Spark wires eventually get overheated and their resistance goes up so your spark plugs end up getting less spark strength.

Pontiac Montana SV6 engine chugs at 80 Kms

It is usually coming from the spark plug wires( leak spark). Spark to ground or piece of metal.
To find out exactly take an empty spray bottle fill her up with water and add 2 tablespoons of salt. With the engine running a light spray of the mix on spark plug wires you will see the spark leak and proof the spark plug wires have a defect. if so replace all spark plug wires that should solve your problem.

Hope it helps.

I have a 1990 ford 460 EFI cylinders 1,2,6 has no change or little in RPM when spark plug wires removed. The three spark plugs has black carbon on them. I replaced them with new ones with new wires.Co

check that the egr valve is not stuck open remove it and cover the hole on the intake side and see if it goes away or with engine running remove the vac line from the valve and install a short length of hose and suck on the hose to draw a vac on the valve it only takes 3-5 inches of vac to open it the engine should stall or run even worse if it is not stuck and if it was stuck open you didnt change anything

How come my spark plugs dont spark ?

well if your engine turns over but will not fire you may have a bad ignition coil so please locate it and check for voltage at small wires attached to the coil but DO NOT CHECK FOR VOLTAGE WHRE THE WIRE GOES FROM IT TO THE ENGINE.

How do you change spark plugs in a 2004 hyundia sonata

It depends on which engine is in the vehicle. The 2004 Sonata came with two possible powertrains -- the 2.4 Lit L4, and the 2.7 Lit V6.

On the 4 cylinder engine, there are two coil packs and two ignition wires, Below each coil pack is a spark plug (#2 and #4 cylinders). The wire from # 2 coil pack goes to #3 spark plug, and the wire from #4 coil pack goes to #1 spark plug.

Now the 2.7 Lit V6 requires you remove the surge tank (intake manifold) in order to access the spark plugs & wires on Bank 1 (Right Hand side of the engine).

How do I repalce the spark plugs on my 2002 galant 2.4 4 cylinder engine

buy new plugs
set the gap on the new plugs
Label the plug wires (1-4)
pop the rummer cap where it goes into the cylinder head valve cover and remove the spark plug wire by grasping the shaft ot the spark wire and twisting it. Don't just pull on the wire as you can break it.
Cpat the threads on the spark plug with anti seize compund.
screw in the spark plug carefully so you don't cross thread it. Check a repair manual for torque specs; if you don't have a torque wrench, you want the spark plugs snug but not cranked down with all your strength.
Replace the spark plug wire and this is important, don't mix what wire goes where..

Replacing spark plug wires

It's gotta be 5.7 V-8 . As u stand in front of the suburban facing the front bumper, there are 4 spark plugs on each side of the engine. The front (of the engine) plug on the drivers side, is plug #1, the front plug on the pass. side is #2, then back to driver side, next plug back is #3, back to Pass side, next plug is #4 etc. to #8. The distributor cap (spark plug wires go from dist. cap (9 wires on top) to each spark plug, Extra wire goes to coil, which sends spark to all wires). The wires fire in the following order: 1, 8, 4, 3, 6, 5. 7, 2. You will have to find where the #1 spark plug goes in the distributor cap, some (hopefully yours ) have a #1 on the top next too where the wire plugs in to the cap. If u find this u r good to go! Put #1 wire in, using a pushing/twisting motion, the wires go in in a clockwise order from #1 as u look down on the distributor. Wires to spark plugs go on w/ same push/twist. You should hear/feel a slight click or snap (not always though!) if inserted all the way. Let me know if this is enough info, if not I'll try to give u more. If u can't find where #1 goes on the dist. cap, stand on the driver side of engine, I believe #1 is at approx. 8 oclock position on the dist cap. Good luck!
