HONDA AND ACURA HAD ISSUES WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH FROM 94-99. THIS WAS ALSO A RECALL. YOU CAN HAVE THE DEALER RUN YOUR VIN # TO SEE IS THIS HAS BEEN UPDATED. IF IT WAS NOT UPDATED YOU MAY STILL HAVE WARRANTY COVERAGE.

2004 nissan turn over but wont start. replace fuel pump and still got the same result

could be a problem with engine electrical or still with fuel delivery. unhook a fuel injector line while it cranks and see if it shoots out spurts gas, just as the fuel pump line is supposed to shoot out a stream of gas while cranking. if you replaced the fuel pump, and no gas shoots out the disconnected fuel pump line, there is an electrical problem, (fuse, relay or wiring issue) to your new fuel pump. if the gas spurts out the loose injector line, then move on to electrical:

first ensure your ignition coil has spark by disconnecting the coil ouput lead and shorting it out to the chassis of the car. you should see a spark, when you short that circuit while cranking. if you have spark, you will have to move on to the spark plugs/ cables, then the distributor cap/coil packs.

if its part of the electrical system, it will be sensitive to temperature/humidity, and that may be why it only fails to start early in the morning. if it were the fuel injector, it would be more likely to start cold, and NOT re-start after it had already been warmed up and cut off recently.

Engine turns over but won't start

Start with testing the coil. Disconnect the wire and have someone crank the engine to check for spark. The spark should jump about 1/4 inch. If spark is good, suspect fuel problem. Spray some ether into the intake while the engine is cranked. If it starts and then stops, it is a fuel problem. Your battery is probably going to go dead with all this cranking, so keep a charger on it. Also give your starter time to cool between long cranking.

Electrical power loss under engine load

It could be a throttle position sensor is the check is light on? There is also a crank position sensor that has to be re learned sometimes with engine swaps as well

Starter/Electrical Issue

It sounds like a bad starter. You can have the starter tested at a place such as Auto Zone or Advance Auto, but it needs to be taken off the vehicle.
