Absolutely the exact same problem. It used to be that after you drove it for 5-10 minutes, the dash board lights would come back on as well as the tail lights, but now it's gone all the time. We also have the beeping like the lights are on when you open the driver door. Help! One guy at work suggested either the grounding or something wrong with the relay. Have not had a chance to test either solution.

It's a tough one without seeing at least a simple wiring diagram of your car. Does your check engine light come on?
First thing that comes to my mind is a grounding problem, but could also be an ECM problem. Did you try resetting the ecm by removing the main fuse for few minutes, or disconnecting the -ve terminal on the battery?

Why is my 2001 buick century custom dash lights, tail lights, cruise control not working and dinger is sounding don't know if it is ignition or head light dinger but stops when you close door

dinger is obviously your door open warning, problem 1 solved, dash and tail lights are often on the same circuit in many cars, this will need a new fuse, if this failed when replaced then you have a short, this normally happens in your tail lights

Interior light buzzer won't stop 1990 mazda miata

Actually, it's just an simple buzzer associated with the seatbelt circuit and doors. Many of us with Miata's have just removed it as it's easy to do. It's located under the dash on the driver's side and easy to remove
  • put the key in the ignition and open the door
  • reach up under the dash to the left of the steering wheel and grab small rectangular plastic boxes until you feel the one that buzzing and vibrating
  • Now feel around for the latch that holds it into place - it's a squeeze-to-release type
  • Open the latch and pull off the wiring harness
  • Use a twist tie or some electrical tape to tape the wire harness to something so it doesn't bounce around.
Done!

I have a 95 jeep grand cherokee, when i put the key in and start my vehicle the key in ignition signal will not stop beeping. Please help me stop the constant beep.

Seems like the vehicle is sensing that one of the doors is remaining open(the door switch may be bad and stuck open. You can also track down and disconnect that buzzer, which is located under the dash.

Inside dash lights and tail lights won't turn on in my '95 Isuzu Rodeo, what can I do?

My 97 Rodeo had the same problem. No Tail lights, no. Dash lights. There is also an annoying buzzer that goes with the set telling you the lights are on, there is no key in the ignition and your door is open. (you don't notice it when it's gone but you sure notice it when it's back)
The Fuse (taillight Illum) was good, The Light relay under the hood was good and all bulbs were good.
What fixed this problem was replacing the tail light relay which is located in a panel just to the left of the brake pedal also called the kick panel.Inside there are 3 relays. I replaced the one in the middle and got everything to work.
If you need to identify the relay you can put your hand over it and then turn the lights on and off. The correct relay should click. Mine was the middle one.
Hope this helps someone because it stumped me for months.

I also have 98 neon with "door ajar" light and buzzer staying on but ONLY when all doors are closed. key doesnt evan have to be in ignition! also the dome light works perfect with the door and light switch...

sounds like their is a short in the wiring to the dome light and buzzer... i know you don't want to hear that... if it is grounded somewhere that is why it quits when you remove the bulb... possible wire caught behind the dash when you put it back together... if so that would cause the ground...

2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette Automatic Head Lights, Tail Lights, Dash Lights, all went out this evening. When I open the door (with no key in the ignition or head lights on) beeps quickly.

Open your bonnet pull out and check all fuse's inside engine bay to see if none are blown and do the same to the fuse's inside car which are located near the floor either on the driver's or passenger's side. Hope this helps.

Door open w/ key and headlights on alarm not sounding

The two most likely causes of this are either a door catch switch faulty, or the buzzer itself is faulty. If its the door catch switch that is faulty (I am assuming its the drivers door in question), then the control unit will never know that you have opened the door, and therefor the buzzer stays quiet. I would have thought that your car will have a red light that lights up on the dash when you open any door, so check if this operates when opening the door (try it with both doors to see if the light does exist). If this light only works on one of the doors then clearly there is a door catch switch fault. this can be down to the switch itself, located within the door catch or the wiring to it which can sometimes break inside the rubber boot from car to the door near the door hinges. Constant opening and closing the door causes this area to flex back and fourth, and wires sometimes break here.

If the fault is not related to the door, then it is likely to be the buzzer. They do occasionaly fail. Unfortunately they are integral with the dash panael insert (The part with the speedo and rev counter).

Tail lights and Dash lights out - Cant find fuse

If you open your driver side door and look on the side of the dashboard where the side vent is you should see a little panel that is removable and there behind that panel you would find you fuse box for all your minor electrical components.
