A pluggged CAT can`t be fixed.Visit an Exhaust shop where they can fabricate (build) a new one for you. Make sure they give you a discount for your old CAT. As for the fuel pump it`s located in the gas tank. This is not an easy task to do yourself-visit your local repair shop for an estimate and evaluation on both the CAT and FUEL PUMP..
Agreed on the CAT problem. The fuel pump is actually easy if you have any working knowledge of the electrical and fuel characteristics and functions. Pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the car and let it run til it dies. This drains the lines of the heavier amount of fuel which is VERY important. In the trunk or hatch on the passenger side is where the metal cover to the fuel pump is. It's under the carpet and has a wire plug going to it that will need to be removed to take the plate cover off. After removing that there is another plate that has the fuel pump connected to it. Fuel lines must be CAREFULLY removed before taking the second plate off. Lift up on the plate to expose the pump. Remember to replace the small rubber gasket so as not to throw codes to the computer for fuel pressure problems. If you are not to comfy doing this, then I HIGHLY suggest taking it to a shop.
