1998 Dodge Dakota ext. cab - Fuel line leak at pump

1998 w/ 318 and 22 gal tank (according to book).
The connection from the fuel hose to the pump has a drip leak. I am in hopes it is in need of new 'O' ring etc.

I need to remove the fuel feed hose from the Fuel Supply Fitting, hopefully w/o dropping the tank lol.

My manual (Chilton) does not show the type of connection I am seeing (read feeling). One side has a smooth finish the other an indent, is the release in the indent?
thanks for your help,
Jerry.

More than likely. Go to any auto parts store and they have a special tool for taking the gas fitting apart. (Very cheap)

Which End Of Of Fuel Filter Connects To Manuel Pump On 1987 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl 3.9 ?

The filter should have three hoses. There should be an arrow painted on the filter showing the direction of fuel flow.
And you should be able to blow in one end and the air come out the other if direction is correct.
The line to the pump should be on the end without the extra hose.

2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 5.9 leaking fuel. Engine still runs just fine, but fuel leaking heavily from under the cab(not close to the fuel tank).

There are several fuel connection points in the fuel lines which run from the tank to the fuel pump through the left frame rail. Check these connections and look for any damage to the fuel lines. Additionally, the fuel filter on the left rear of the engine has a water bleed off knob on the bottom. This knob could also leak by the left front corner of the cab.

My 1991 dodge dakota v6 2 barrel is using way to much gas 150mi per 16 gal tank what is the cause

check for fuel leaks. from the gas tank, to the fuel lines, to the carb. i assume its an electronic throttle body 2 barrel. i have seen those leak internaly from the inside of the carb/throttle body causing exsess fuel to be used. you could also have a very bad fuel/air ratio going on there. could be bad o2 sensors. but i would start with the leaking fuel first.

Fuel leaking at tank when motor is running, stops when engine is off 1992 Honda Accord

The fuel pump for this car is electric and is located inside the fuel tank, so you have a leaking fuel line, when the pump is running you have a leak, when the engine is shut off the pressure goes away and no leak.

Fuel line from the fuel tank leaks-- how do I repair or replace the line

The quick fix is getting a piece of ubber hose and two clamps and repair the line. You will have to cut the line and put the rubber hose on both ends and tighten the clamps. The permanent solution is to replace the fuel line from one end connection to the other end connection.

99 dodge dakota has gas smell in cab when heater or ac is on

sounds like you need to look through the engine bay and see if your fuel lines are wet anywhere!! There might be a possibilty that you have a leak around the gas tank so jus crawl under the trunk and look to see if it has any kind of wetness around the tank or hoses coming out of the tank!!
