There is a special tool that is required to change the pulley. The tool screws into the the threads on the pulley and then when you turn the center of the tool with a wrench, it pushed the pulley from the compressor. The tool also comes with an adapter to press the new pulley in place.

Chevy Cavalier 91 - Dashboard symbol "check" lite

Some fault code is stored in the PCM (computer); to know what is the problem, I suggest scanned the PCM with some scanner reader codes. Autozone or AutoShop with this tools sometimes make this for free.

Hope this helps.

How to change rear brakes on 2004 cavalier, How do you remove the large hold down spring

You will need a "brake parts tool" and a pair of needle nose pliers. If you look carefully at the cap of the spring. you will see that the center "button" is held in position by a metal "pin" flattened at the tip.
The button has a slot in it that is 90 degrees off from the flat tip of the metal "pin" The Tool has an end on it that allow you to compress the spring and take the tension off from the Button and pin so that the pin falls loose. With the needle nose pliers, grip the flattened tip of the pin, then push the spring/button combination in about a quarter of an inch. As soon as the pin is loose, rotate the flat piece so that it can be pushed through the slot in the button. The spring will simply fall off when you remove the tension with the brake parts tool. You can also do this with the needle nose pliers and your fingers. But it is easier to replace the parts with the brake parts tool.
Hope this helps,

remove screws around handle. look for others. when they are all removed you pry the panel off. that will damage the one-way plastic snap-in holders that will have to be replaced. they are cheap and available at the dealership if not at your local auto parts store

How do i replace the key and tumbler on a 91 chevy 1500?

You need to go to the part store and buy a special tool that compresses the spring inside the steering column. Don't cut corners, Disconnect the truck's battery. Without the tool you will not get the column back together. With the tool you will compress the spring, remove the clip above that dust shield. and then start to pull it apart. Remember to put everything back together how it was. That dust-cover looking thing must go back exactly how you found it or you will damage the plastic pieces to the horn circuit. When you pull the cover off for the horn be careful with the wire. Push and turn counterclockwise to remove. And you will pull out the directional lever and unscrew the little Phillips head screw from the hazard button so the turn signal Assembly can be moved so you can access the screw that locks the key cylinder in place.

91 Audi 100 (non-quattro) needs front shocks replaced

You can pull the shock out from the top but you need special tools. The easiest way for a novice to do it is to pull the strut assembly out of the car, then compress the spring and remove the strut.
