With the vehical jacked up and supported, inspect the front side of the fuel tank, it has a plastic ring going around the place where all the wires and fuel lines connect to the tank. Unscrew this ring and the gauge sending unit and the pump are connected to it. You should drain off most of the fuel before you take it aprt to avoid fires and the spilling of fuel. make sure the battery is disconnected to avoid sparks that may start a fire. If it does catrch fire get away as the fires like this are hard to put out and need to be avoided. stay away from other things that burn ( Buildings < other cars, wooden floors as they burn good too if splashed with spilled fuel.
