Question about 2006 Saturn Vue
If you can get the door open, pull the interior panel off. Find the lock mechanism and cable assembly. Buy some DRY LUBE. I usually use PB Blaster TDL Lube. Lube up the mechanism and the assembly. Use the door locks about 10 times to distribute the lube a little. Lube up the handle mechanism while you are at it.
Now, Check the physical placement of the lock stryker. (the "D" ring sticking off of the B pillar) Look to see if it is scratched, etched, or worn. if so, it "MAY" have come out of alignment. If that is the case, take it to a local body shop - not your dealer - and ask them to realign it. Offer them 20-30 dollars cash. They will usually have it done in about 3 minutes.
Funny thing about these Saturns, the Plastic doors are held together by very THIN strips of metal that come out of alignment very quickly. Find a body shop that is willing to "adjust things on an as needed "cash basis" and you will find that you will save a trmendous amount of money.

Had the same prob. with door locked, diagnosis $110.00 per hr. I called General Manager of dealership and he said he will cover it under a "Goodwill Warranty" As it happens, it only took them 15 minutes by putting a device down inside lock ( like the car thiefs do) and then lubricating the lock.
