Question about 2006 Volkswagen Jetta
I have the car in several times at the dealer for the same issue. Engine lights are lit, the ECC, the engine and the traction control. The care simply looses power as we drive it, you push the accelerator and it barely moves the speedometer. Sometimes, once the car finally reaches a certain speed it manages to go smoother, but until then.. with the accelerator pushed to the floor, there is barely any force.
The same thing happened to me. Last winter I had accidently touched the gas pedal when starting my Jetta diesel, flooding the engine, and it threw everything off. I managed to drive...with high rpms and little to no power... to the dealers and they hooked it up to the computer and reset everything. (some dash lights were on as well.) It took 3 minutes total, and it was fixed, and I have never had that problem since. I now know to never touch the gas pedal!
I do not know if this is your exact problem, but it may be worth checking into.
