I have a 1994 Probe with a V6. I just replaced the timing belt due to a noisey iddler bearing and it ran great for 5 minutes. The "Fuel Cutoff Light" appeared immediately after starting the engine but it still ran for 5 minutes. I had never seen this indicator light before. I pressed the fuel pump reset button in the trunk but it did not help. Tomorrow I will verify that I don't have 12 volts at the fuel pump while I am trying to start the engine.

Are there any sensors that would make the control module think there is a broken fuel line and shut the system down? Any ideas would be appreciated.

There is a fuse and a relay that need to be checked they are located in the fuse box under the hood. if there is a cut off it will be located in the trunk behind the fabric.

look behind the kick panel on both sides of the front seating area . Ford used a shutoff for when they were in an accident to cut off fuel supply .

What could d the problem be? Tried to crank 2001 sports track ford an it tried to crank an died an wanever want do anything at all now. Battery's good has oil an all fluids. What else could it be?

It could be any thing from your fuel "cut off" (right side lower kick panel... (push DOWN))... FUSES:COP ignition system (no spark)... fuel pressure issues... (use spark tester)

Do you have any unusual "engine lights"...?

You have gotten all those wild varmints from under the hood... cleared the air filter... the fuel is fresh...?

Lastly.. if it is catching... but refusing to run...

Check to see your exhaust is not BLOCKED by a failed catalytic converter... or loose baffle plate in your mufflers

Do check out the engine CODES to see if you OBD2 system is telling you anything.

Good luck and happy hunting

The 1995 ford probe will not accelerate after a complete stop, I give it gas and the car revs in drive without moving forward, does this particular problem have anything to do with the fuel injection, or...

it is a transmission issue which are no stranger to ford probes, not sure exactly what part is faulty inside the transmission but in most cases with that vehicle it is not do it yourself, the only thing you can try is replacing the filter and fluid in the pan.

It could be a wiring problem. I have seen where kids try and put a speaker system in their car, and they cut or pull one too many wires. Then something like this happens. Your best bet would try and get your hands on a owners manual and see what wires are being moved or not connected.

Check for fuel shut off switch, look in the truck or under the dash around the kick panels, will be a switch with a button on top, make sure the button is push down, if you can fine it call the ford dealship and they can tell you where it's at, when ever a collision the switch will cut fuel off for safty reasons, good luck.

This to me sounds like it could be the fuel pump but first I would check the simpler solution and make sure your alternator is good because if your started turns over fine but the car wont start the next part to check would be for me the alternator.
