From what I gather, you can access the battery by removing the exterior side panel. There are two 10mm bolts on top and bottom of the panel, the top needs to be removed, the bottom only loosened. It will be easiest if you buy a cheap 10mm combination wrench and grind down the open-end part to a thickness of about 2.5mm. This will allow the tool to slide below the panel and help loosen the lower bolt. It is best not to bend the panel. There are 3 Torx screws inside the wheel well, difficult to remove with the tire in place unless you turn the steering to a stop, or use a Torx bit in a wrench. Bolt securing the battery on its base facing the driver seat needs to be removed.
