Question about 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT

Problem with stock 1993

I got this car off original owner with high milage. he said it had been rebuilt and should only have a prox 40k miles on it after service. as of right now i think th OD reeds 228k. it was running great till recently. i started to hear a light ticking noise in the motor kinda like when u run low on oil. i checked all the fluids put some oil in and a lil of that Marvins Mystery Oil stuff. it did seem to help a little and i was hoping it would get better. the noise started on a Monday and within 100 miles of driving it went form a tick to a loud tap....it sounds horrible. i'm no mechanic but i'd like to try and fix it myself. i don't have the ability to pay someone else. does anyone know what it might be and how hard it would be to fix it? no indicator lights are on, all the fluids are still full, it still starts and seems to have plenty of power but it did shut off on me the last time i drove it which was the day it went from a 2 to a 10 on the ticking noise scale.

Thank you,
George

Adjusting trans bands 1994 jeep grand cherokee 6 cylinder need picture of what to do

Who said you could do that? He should have also told you how! Get a bottle of lucas trans slip for 12$ and that is the only thing that will revive a slipping trans, or take it to a tranny shop and have it rebuilt

94 probly has alot of miles on that trans with out the proper changes that should have been done at every 40k miles.

I have a 1993 Mitsubishi Precis witha 1.5 liter .The oil pump went out and the engine. The car only had 60,000 original miles, the engine will need a top to bottom overhaul,if I can even find someone that...

I would probably go with a rebuilt (they USUALLY come with a longer warranty against failure) Having it rebuilt will probably be about same in price but shorter warranty and if you use a used/pull out you're kind if on your own and could have same failure shortly after install. Don't get rid of the car, put a rebuilt in it.

1993 Chevy K1500 4.3 4x4 rebuilt 4L60E tranny slipping

I never trust rebuilt trannies unless i rebuild them myslef....Beefing up valve bodies sometime leads to premature wear and tear...the kit could be malfuctioning aswell. Chefck fluids and replace the filter in it, if that doesnt fix it, then take it back to the tech, and demand free service :)
