Is the play in the steering wheel or in the actual suspension? If the looseness is in the wheel i would recommend changing out the steering gear. if the play is found in the suspenion system you will need to replace any part that is loose. i hope this helps

How to fix play on tata xenon 3l dicor power steering unit

Most power steering units have two adjusters--one one the lower end for main bearing adjustment, but the one on top (just like manual steering boxes) is all you usually need to adjust. With front end jacked up and engine running adjust screw inward until drag is felt in steering wheel with wheels pointing straight ahead, then loosen just a touch until no bind is felt as steering is turned back and forth through center of steering.

My 1997 Ford f150 The shaft from the steering. wheel to the steering box should there be any play in it

Bummer deal. You probably mean play as you turn the steering wheel a bit one way or the other. That play usually means a steering linkage part called the "idler arm" has worn out. This arm absorbs road shocks and when it rubber part wears out - this causes a play as I describe. A mechanic and around $100 fix the problem using a new arm. Hope this helps . http://www.auto-tune-up-and-repair-options.com/

Fixed the bearings in the steering wheel but theres still to much play sterring wheel still wobbles. how do i fix this?

A lot of play in the steering wheel is a result of bad ball joints. The ball joints are what tie the steering system to the wheels, so if the joints go bad there will be play in the wheel. I had to replace the BJ's on my truck to get rid of the play. Any shop will do the repairs and the cost istn too bad. A little shop like mine will always beat the big guys prices. Good luck!

can be any component in the front end and or steering box u would have to check and feel the parts for excess movement or wear-- best is to pick up a service manual such as haynes or chilton most auto stores sell them under $20 the manuals show how to fix and repair almost every part of the vehicle
