Ignition switch needs to be replaced, common problem.

To get your key out: look under the key on the column cover. You'll either see a hole there or an outline where a hole was supposed to be. If the hole is there, push in the solenoid to release your key. If the hole isn't there, carefully cut or drill the plastic out there, and push the solenoid there. I believe they quit putting the hole there in 03', BUT like mine, you'll see a faint outline in the plastic of a hole.

As for the brake lights i would think that the brake light switch is faulty. As for the parking lights i think that the parking light relay is sticking.Switch the relay with another one in the fuse panel with the same part number to see if thats the problem or not.

Key stuck in on posistion of 2004 envoy. Engine could not turn off. Had to unplug battery to turn off. Key still stuck in on posistion. Will not come out

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you spray WD40 on the ignition switch. This will help loosen the gearing, by then you can remove the key.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
