Where is the fuel relay on Kia Rio 2002, this car will start all the time. It only won't crank all the way after it has been driving a lot. The gas light is on continuously. Sometimes really light and sometimes bright. When we crank it we do hear the fuel pump noise. However I am a female and can't be stranded. It always cranks after awhile.
My boyfriend read online that it could be the fuel pressure regulator but another guy said it could be the relay. Can anyone help. It is a good car besides this problem that leaves me stranded and missing appointments.

First.. sparkplugs never have gas on them. If they do that means that you have a compression problem, or the injector is brocken. If I were you ,I'll take the car to a electromechanic and have him check the ignition module, and all the electrical components to the ignition.

The filter is in the engine compartment or near the gas tank.
Will it start using starting fluid sprayed into the intake ?

I ran my car out of gas and after putting gas in it still wouldnt start. i got told to change the fuel filter...i did and still wont start even thou it wants to...it trys to turn over but still wont...

You don't pressurize anything
You didn't have to change the filter either

You need to check to see if the fuel pump
comes on at all,in the start position when cranking

If you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail on engine

If not then the fuel pump may have failed

Also, do you have a crank signal, spark, etc

Have it taken to a repair shop

I changed my fuel pump, it gets gas to the moter but will not start. I have changed all the spark plugs and still will not start, has a strong turn over and i can smell some gas after a couple trys.

Check for spark,if there is no spark,it could be the crankshaft sensor. If it has spark, check the timing to make sure it has not jumped,or broken.

Car stalled. wont start back up

I would check for gas at the pressure fitting on the fuel rail for gas. Also check to see if you are getting spark to the plugs.

I have a 2001 crown victoria. and it wont start. i smell fuel what do that mean we think it might be the throttlebody. or the ejecters. clogged. what should i do.it trys to start. do the ecm or egr have...

the rule is checking for spark at the spark plugs, if you have spark then check for fuel pressure at the test port on the fuel rail.
since you smell gas, you need to check to see if there is any fuel leak.
if you don't have spark but you have fuel pressure then it's more likely the ignition module.
if you have spark but don't have gas then check the inertia switch and fuel pump. assuming that you already check your fuses.

My 95 lincoln town car wont start but turns over if i tap on the mass airflow sensor then go back in the car it trys to start but doesnt could the mass air flow sensor cause this ? and be my problem?

you need to check to see if it has spark at the spark plugs
check to see if you have fuel pressure at the fuel pressure test port at the fuel rail.
if you don't have either one then it may be the ignition module
but first check all your fuses

My 97 saturn sl trys to start but wont it is geting gas, and spark but its seems to try to start and then stop and just crank over and over again

Could be one or more of many grips.
1. Fuel tank empty.
2. Battery discharged.
3. Battery terminal connections loose or corroded.
4. Leaking fuel injectior(s), faulty fuel pump, pressure regulator, etc.
5. Fuel not reaching fuel rail or TBI unit.
6. Ignition components damp or damaged.
7. Worn faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs.
8. Broken, loose or disconnected wiring in the starting circut.
9. Broken, loose or disconnected wires at the ignition coil or faulty coil. 10. Broken timing Chain.
11. Engine coolant temperature sensor defective.
12. Crankshaft postition sensor defective.

Hope this Helps!
