Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Overheating the bottom hose busted and i replace it and it was still overheating so then I replaced themeralstae and it still over heating

Chek belt most likely fan clutch,or water pump if coolant in radiator looks good not mudded up

Overheating


thermostat sounds like it is stuck and are you running coolant or just water if just water replace with mostly coolant as water rusts the thermostat open or just not opening enough under pressure

2005 Sorento overheating


Could be one of many things:
Water pump could be bad.
Radiator hose could have a pin hole in it or busted.
Thermostat could be stuck or bad.
Could be a blown head gasket.

Try replacing the radiator hose and the thermostat... If this doesn't fix the problem, look at the bottom of the water pump and see if there is any water dripping or running out. If the pump is leaking water get it replaced.

If doing so doesn't fix the problem of over heating, take your vehicle to a shop and have a pressure test done and it will show what the problem is and wheather it's a blown head gasket or not.

My engine heat increased on a long trip. I noticed that the reservoir tank level was above the full mark at times of over heating. my radiator is a new one. my lower radiator hose busted twice in a single...


Definitely replace this cap...my concern is the overheating on a long drive...this points to poor circulation, ie water pump, also check for sticking thermostat...replace and reseal. Hope this helps.

My car over heated and looks like a hose busted but it looks like rust and in the res it looks clumpy hard to explain how can i fix this what do i do


did the hose bust or did it blow off the fitting from pressure? The clumpy stuff is from the radiator. Flush the radiator to clean out. There is a drain plug at the base/bottom of the radiator. Replace hose if broken or reposition and clamp back in position.

I think the hose connected to my radiator might be busted. How hard and expensive of a fix is this?


If either the top or bottom hose has broken and is leaking do not drive the vehicle as it will over heat very quickly and damage the engine. Either hose is fairly simple to replace especially the top one. It only requires taking off two hose clamps and purchasing the correct hose to replace it and positioning it the same as the old one.

The hose that goes from the manifold to the firewall busted and my car is overheating


that is the hose for the heater core you are likely overheating because you are low on coolant or have a air lock somewhere. if you don't need heat just clamp off both hoses to and from the heater core (firewall) until you can get it fixed but make sure you maintain the proper coolant level.

1994 Honda Civic LX\overheating within 2 mile drive


Remove and raise upper hose at thermostat end and remove lower rad hose.
Fill rad with a hose and watch for flow from bottom rad hose and/ or bottom rad hose connecton.......water should fall though rad easily.
Honda rads are cheap.....any restriction....replace rad.

Remove thermostat....fill thermostat housing with hose and watch for water flow at bottom rad hose.
Flush good.

Remove heater hoses.......flush back and forth until a good flow is present "With heater control set to hot" if no or poor flow....replace heater core.

Stop leak can plug everything.

Also.......not likely causing over heating....but ....at your mileage,if you do not know if the timing belt has been changed.....CHANGE IT NOW!
Water pump is optional at this mileage.
