Sounds like a bad cv joint or same thing [axle] find out where the sounds at[which side] drivers or passenger side. replace the axle that pops and cracks when you're driving and turning the wheel.if you're turning the wheel to left and moving, the popping comes from the left, you'll need the drivers side axle replaced, if you're driving and turn hard right and popping comes from passenger side front, then you'll need to replace the passengers side axle. it's common for either one to go bad. they always pop and crack during a turn while moving when bad....you can find either side axles at auto zone or advance auto parts stores. or even o'reillys or nappa auto parts. either way, they will be a rebuilt axle, just as good as new, just rebuilt. thank you for choosing fixya.com

SOURCE: Clicking noise coming from front driver side

A bad cv joint. Look under the car on the inside of the front wheel. There will be a shaft extending from the transaxle to the wheel hub with black rubber accordion boots on either end of it. Look for the boot for breaks or cracks. Look around the area for wheel bearing grease (very thick and sticky) to be splattered all over. Sometimes the boot is intact and the joint may still go bad but cv joint has an 8 hour life once the boot breaks. Replace the cv joint and boots. Buy a rebuilt one from your local parts store. They will be affordable and reliable.

Tapping Noise that does not slow with engine RPM ?

Your correct, It isn't the engine. I would start with the brakes, maybe wheel bearings, Axles. If front wheel drive, Lift the front tires off the ground and run it. If the noise goes away, look towards the back. Check the front bearings with the tires off the ground. Grab top and bottom, Wiggle the tire. Any movement the bearing is bad.

Clicking noise on my 1985 S-10 4WD in the front...never had one intil I got a flat tire

So you are equating the noise with the flat tire? What was done with the flat tire? Did you check all the other tires for rocks and nails or screws?

Front is making noise when I turn

Kim:

Check your wheel bearings and ball joints. Checking the wheel bearings: stand next to the front tire, crouch down, put your hands on the top of the tire, and try to rock the top of the tire by pushing the top of the tire away from you and pulling the top of the tire toward you (rock it hard and fast). do both front tires. Any noise or sideways movement of the tire is bad, (Bearings are worn) and needs to be repaired. Then, stand at the front corner of the car, and push down on the front corner of the car repeatedly (rocking the corner of the car up and down (Rock it up and down Hard) If you hear the popping noise your ball joints need to be replaced. If these tests don't work but you still get the popping noise when you drive, take the car to a mechanic. Popping noises from the front end of a car is dangerous. If anything happens up there, you could lose your steering!

Front Axle making noise and jerking while turning

It is probally in 4 wheel drive. It is supposed to **** while turning in 4 wheel drive because all 4 tires are trying to turn at the same speed and when you turn one tire slows down and the other tire speeds up but it cant in 4 wheel drive so it skips or jerks. If there is also a clicking noise the CV joint might be going out.

Whirring noise from the front of car as you drive.

I would first rule out the possibility of a "rough" tire making the noise. You can move the two front tires to the rear of the vehicle and see if that changes the noise any. If it does, you might have a worn tire that needs replacing or a tire that has worn unevenly and should be rotated and balanced more often....

Good luck..
