Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada
Your suv still has freon in it, whether it be r12 or r134a , it is still freon. if you look and see the aluminum lines in the engine compartment you can follow them up to the "reciever/drier" wich looks like a 3" canister on the firewall on the passenger side. see the black cap on the 5/8" line coming from it? remove that cap and attatch the refil can to that fitting under the cap. you should buy the refill cans with the guage on them as you are looking for aproximately 30psi on that exact port while the system is running. first hook up the can and see what the compressor is doing. if it keeps going down below 30psi and the compressor keeps cycling on and off-keep filling.
For best system performance the system should be evacuated and refilled because if the system is low now , it HAS moisture in it. Good luck .......Scott
