You will need to jack engine off the mounts as far as you can, then drain oil remove all oil pan bolts and carefully pry off pan.

No just unbolt then, one bolt each side I think. The bolt is the one that ties the engine mount to the sub frame.

Your motor mounts may inhibit jacking the engine far enough up to clear the oil pump so it may be necessary to loosen one or more. This is not a critical point so retightening them shouldn't cause any problems.

SOURCE: how do you replace the oil pan on a 1994 pontiac

On most, engine should be lifted a bit to get better clearance. when doing that, make sure you don't lift it too high or it will break stuff on top. Best way is to disconnect engine mounts and put blocks between mounts and block or use a lift bar to keep motor in place.

The o-rings on the injectors have torn....I have seen this happen before,,
The o-rings keep fuel from going into engine...You will have to remove injectors and replace the o-rings...all of them....Get some vaseline or electrical lube and coat the o-rings with it so they will become slick and install them very slow and carefully twist it slightly left to right while pushing in slightly until contact....Then change the oil of course...You have to be very careful.
I hope this helps.....................................................Metalpoet......Level 2 certified tech.

it should be near the lower front of the engine next to the crank pulley. your pan should be about centered with the front suspension or just a little bit back from that.

Easiest way to drop the oil pan out of a '91 firebird without hoisting the engine up? Can you drop the cross member that prevents it from being able to drop straight down to remove the oil pan?

Don't think it can be done dude,by the time you disconnect everything(including the tranny)
to get enough clearance for the pan,you may as well pull it the rest of the way, crossmember is not removable.

Cracked drip pan on a 1996 3.8 Rivera Buick.

Hi! My name is Tom and I can help you.

By drip pan I am going to assume you mean oil pan. First you need to get your car on blocks or up in the air enough to reach the oil pan.

Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.(discard the oil). You will see a number of bolts securing the pan. Using the proper box wrench remove all the bolts.

You will see a gasket. This must be replaced. You can purchase the proper pan gasket by asking for a pan gasket at an auto parts store. While you are there ask for the proper sealant for the gasket.

Clean the pan and any oil on the surface where the gasket will touch. Place gasket sealer around the pan and seal the gasket to the pan cover. Replace the pan. Put the bolts back and fill with oil. Start the car and get it to operational temperature and check for leaks. You are now Good to go.

This is a fairly involved yet simple fix.
