If you ran the truck very low or out of fuel this code will be set and MIL Lamp will illuminate, otherwise if everything is ok and truck runs fine it may be a sensor fault.

Got a 2000 chevy truck with a 5.7 motor it is running extremely rich and has a mis and showing a code of 1345

take to autoparts store, have them pull trouble code, have you replaced the OXYGEN sensor ? do it ! whens the last time you replaced both the AIR & FUEL filters ? do it ! find out code, its probably a sensor ! oxygen, like I mentioned . the MAP sensor could also be fauty . anything to do with air & fuel delivery !!! VACUUM lines, check them all, replace as necessary, TIGHTEN the mounting bolts to THROTTLEBODY, maybe the gasket is leaking ! put fuel injector cleaner in tank, next fill up . when you replaced distributor, did you replace the spark plugs & plug wires ? very important !!! EGRvalve, this valve gets clogged up severely choking the engine on these trucks !! pull it off, take a look, clean it or replace it ! when you set timing, did you follow the manual, some require you bypass the EST system, by unplugging its connection . (electronic spark timing). usually located @ firewall, under relay cover. replace the knock sensor ! todays fuel is BAD for your truck, you may think you have a miss, when you inturn have a "spark knock" , replace knock sensor @ engine block ! I think we covered it, balls in your court, hope I help you , its never just one thing, truck needs a maintenance day !!!!!!!!!

How do i reset po148

Are you asking how to fix the problem or just how to clear the code?

To Fix:

P0148 is a 'Fuel Delivery Error' - generaly means you are not getting enough fuel flow/pressure to the rails. This can be caused by the fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator. You need to determine the faulty component by testing with a fuel pressure gauge and replace as necessary.

To Reset:

This generally requires a scan tool. Most shops will reset your codes for little/no cost. Some parts stores also have readers capable of resetting codes.

Hope this was helpful. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Transit pump code p0216 how can i fix this

P0216 DTC - Injection Timing Control Circuit Malfunction and this means the diesel fuel injection pump has a timing failure. This could be that the injection pump timing needs adjusted OR the failure is internal to the injection pump and therefore non-adjustable.

NOTE: If your vehicle is a Dodge Ram with Cummins engine then be aware that fuel delivery problems frequently cause this code. Prolonged fuel delivery problems can cause injection pump failure!

Symptoms of a P0216 DTC may include:
Low power
Crank, but no start
Hard start
Displays an intermittent stumble or miss
Engine may start and then stall
Engine may appear to drive fine but surge at idle

The most frequent cause of this code is a bad injection pump due to poor fuel delivery. Fuel delivery problems could be:
A plugged diesel fuel filter
An in-tank blockage
Air in the fuel due to a cracked in-tank fuel ine above the fuel level
Bad transfer (lift) pump
Injection pump out of time

Possible Solutions: First, simply check if your injection pump timing is adjustable. If so, check the timing and adjust if necessary.

If you think that you may have a fuel delivery problem, then check the lift pump operation. On Dodge Ram with the Cummins engine, the lift pump should produce about 45 oz of diesel in 25 seconds of operation. This can be performed by disconnecting the fuel hose from the injection pump and pumping the fuel into an approved container. Bump the engine over but do not start it. Then the lift pump will operate for 25 seconds. If the fuel is aerated, then check/repair fuel line and recheck.

With the fuel hose connected the fuel pressure should be 10psi. If the fuel delivery tests fail, replace the diesel fuel filter and recheck.

If it still fails then verify there are no restrictions in the fuel tank

Then replace the lift (transfer) pump. IT SHOULD BE NOTED that if this code surfaced after a routine fuel filter replacement or if you have any of the above symptoms after routine fuel filter replacement, then suspect the fuel transfer pump. This occurs because even a weak transfer pump can still provide enough fuel for the engine to run. But when the fuel system\'s prime is lost due to fuel filter replacement, it may not restart again without fixing the fuel delivery problem.

If you found your injection pump to be bad, the lift pump should be checked for operation to protect the new injection pump. This is because weak or low output from lift pump are common cause of injection pump failure. There are some aftermarket kits that can be purchased to warn the operator when the fuel pressure/volume drops to level that could damage the injection pump.

Hope this helps (remember to rating this free answer and leave a testimonial comments).

2003 ford f350 with the V10 gas engine Engine died while going down the highway and now won't start (engine doesn't turn over). When the ignition is turned to "on" we don't here the fuel pump priming...

ummm that could very well be the fuel pump... you want to check the fuel pump fuse and also the solenoid thay do go out but most likely the fuel pump has gone out one way to check and see if its the fuel problem is to spray some carb cleaner in the air in take and try to start if it dos and dies that means your not getting fuel delivery also test your pump delivery pressure....the fuel pump is located in side the fuel tank...
