brake lights on right side don't work...already replaced bulbs...no joy...what next?

- Have tried all of these. No brake lights - ONLY.

- if tail ight also goes out when brake is depressed
(no light) the turn signal switch would be suspect, this is a common problem on s-10 blazers Chevy did a recall on theese but only for the ones built in canada, the other plants does not apply, wich is bs cause the parts all come from the same place! - Guest

The bulb socket may be the cause, You will need to have someone hold the brake on while you check the bulb socket contacts to see if they have power, buy a 12 volt test light to do the check at any parts store, they are fairly cheap.
