Yes it is. I would first look under where you hit. You may have packed snow/ice in between the sensor and exciter ring. or knocked a wire loose. these are located by the inside of the tire.

Have you tried replacing your brake light switch located under the dash on the brake pedal or it could be a short in the wire. You need a test light and unplug your brake light hornance from the bulb have someone step on the brake pedal touch the light to the hornance and see if your getting electrical current back there

check the brake switch located on a bracket under your driver side, on top of the brake pedel check for power, if power depress on your pedal see if there's nopower on the other side of the switch then replace the switch. I think it is the switch.
