Clutch not working

check to make sure your clutch pressure plat and throw out bearing are good.if they are not replace them and if you do it is better to do all three parts instead of just one .also make sure you use the proper line up tool.if it is a hydrolic clutch you can check the resivor under the hood on the firewall by your brake booster.if it is low you can fill it with brake fluid.i hope this helps

Need to know where to put the break fluid used for the hydrolic clutch. Only can find one reservoir. Does this service both?

I really don't think you want to use break fluid for the hydraulic clutch. I am not totall familiar with your vehicle, but I would think you will use the fluid from the power steering reservoir to share with the clutch.

Clutch pedal just goes to floor in L200

check the fluid level in the slave cylinder, near the master cylinder where break fluid goes in, if it is empty, fill it with hydrolic fluid...you may have to bleed the lines at the tranny if you ran it out which it sounds like.

It is hydraulic and uses the brake fluid.Follow the line to the gearbox from brake fluid bottle to just under oil filter and there is a small cylinder that can break its seals and stop the clutch working and its easy to replace

Clutch will not engage when depressed

there could be one of a few issues here.
1 the thrust bearing may have gone which sites on the clutch plate prongs and the actuator arm.
if you have somebody who can depress the pedal while you go under and have a look at whats going on.
2 as this is a hydrolic assisted clutch there may be air got into the system which may show resistance but there is not enough pressure to push the clutch plates so the stay engaged.
when was the clutch fluid last replaced? as same as break fluid is will absorb moisture over time and reduce is effectiveness.
3. the clutch plates may have overheated last time round and welded together so they will not come apart and will have to be replaced.
do you drive with your foot covering the clutch pedal? this style of driving can cause the clutch to overheat as their is never full pressure during driving always leave your feet away from the clutch pedal once you have changed gear.

Clutch problem

I assume that the clutch pedal is going all the way to the floor... First have you checked the reservoir?? or has it been filled lately???. If there is signs of fluid leaking then replace it , or if it has been messed with lately possible air in system and it can be bleed....But chances are if you think its shot it probably is...It is fairly easy to replace just make sure you flush fluid to insure no particles or water can have an adverse affect on new slave cylinder ...and once installed (2 bolts and 1 hydraulic line..) make sure it is bleed properly....Remember its a lot easier to replace the slave cylinder than to replace a clutch due to premature wear from faulty installation....Good Luck
