Question about 2004 Jeep Liberty
Hi my tractor wont go out of 4wd it is a massey ferguson 3655 wot will the problem be?
Sounds like the seals are gone on the 4wd shaft, it takes oil pressure to keep the 4wd off, but if the seals are worn the all passes through and the 4wd will not dissingage, you will need a experianced michanic

You may have an electrical problem. Tractor must be travelling at a speed above 3 mph even when warning light on dashboard is off before 4wd will disengage.Engagement of brake lights or parking brake will engage 4wd so check correct operation of these switches. If there is a break in the circuit feeding solenoid on right side cover 4wd will engage because 4wd clutch pack needs oil supply to disengage it. 4wd is spring applied when no oil supply present. Problem may exsist with autotronic unit mount under cab floor near right hand step.Check all plugs and connections in this area. Stick it on a boat to ireland to flog in an auction. Us paddys are suckers for english junk. Thank you. 13 spanner.

Drivetrain may be bound up, try reversing for 20-30yards while disengaging 4WD.
