Question about 1998 Volkswagen Passat

Indicators/Hazard Lights Hi there, My indicators and hazard lights have stopped working....I have checked all the fuses and they are fine non of them have blown!! I have also noticed the alarm when you have the lights or indicators on when the key is taken out of the ignition is not working either. Any suggestions?

Hi there, i had the same problem and all i did was change the head light/indicator relay and this seemed to sort it out. The relay was 21 on mine, part no 111953227D hope this helps

Hazard lights come on when using indicators, no blown bulbs


the hazard lights are the indicators and all the hazard switch does is to connect all 4 indicators together. So I would check that the hazard switch has not being engaged or that the switch is faulty.

it is worht checking the fuses and also keep working the hazard light switch as they are not used that often they tend to get sticky on the con tacts and that will knock out your indicators as well if they start to work after working afer working the haz switck then change the switch

Its 51 plate. i had to replace the hazard warning switch which is also the relay for indicators because my indicators and hazards were only working now and again now i have perfect hazards and no...


is a new hazard switch you replaced it with and check to make sure the hazard swith is coming all the way out if it hangs just a little bit it will be in a neutral position and the turn signals wont work and if thats not it your multi-fuction switch feeds the turn signal lights it could be faulty

Check the hazard switch and the connector to hazard switch see if u have the power and earth to hazard switch if there is power and earth to switch then replace ur hazard switch its faulty but if there is no power and earth to switch then it has whirring problem

Do the hazard lights work? if not replace the hazard light switch. Does it have a towbar? if so check the towbar wiring

I have a 2002 audi tt, the indicators are not working but the hazard lights are still working


check the fuse sounds like that has blown as hazards work on a relay indicaters are off a fuse
