i've had a simular problem and have yet to figure out what the problem is. We've had record high tempuratures and when the door was closed shut the window fell down. A few days later the rear window on the same side also fell. What could possible cause this?

I`ve had the same problem and it has to do with corrosion on the metal tabs/contacts in the switch. If you are a handy person, you can remove the switch assembly from the door handle and then carefully remove the tops of the switch using a small screwdriver to gently pry them off. you can try spraying some electronic cleaner in there or a silicone based lube. If this doesn`t work, the switch can be torn down and the metal contacts bent slightly to allow contact again. This isn`t for the faint hearted! I`ve done this myself and it took about an hour.

ive personally done the same thing. my window would work but only when the switch was in the perfect position which could be either faulty switch or a short or loose wire. just remove door insert and follow his instructions above. not a hard task at all

The passenger window wont roll up or down. I have

the window is off of the track, or the arm broke. you can try to do it yourself. pull the door panel off (may be some bolts near the arm rest and handle, but the rest are clips). from there, you should be able to see if it's on the track or not, and the condition of the arm. if the arm is broken, you might want to take it in.

Back door wont open and window wont go down

The rear window has to be completely down in order to move the tailgate! You should be happy that your window is stuck up, unlike mine which is stuck all the way down! I have to completly take apart my tailgate!! If you want to try a trick to get the rear window down, my bronco has a rear window switch right next to the headlight knob, take the 2 purple wires on that window switch, and cross them, if your motor still works and if the wires are good, that should make the window go down!!! good luck, hope that helps!
