2005 highlander limited owners manual

I did not get an owners manual with the vehicle. I really need one because I have no idea how to set things up or what is actually incorporated in this vehicle. the regular highlander manual doesn't include the limiteds options i'm told.

I just bnought a 2005 Highlander which did not come with the Owners Manual.   Found it online at
It was free - unlike most sites - and a .pdf - which is searchable.

a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Which is the break light fuse on 05 highlander?

First of all it is a BRAKE (not break) light fuse. Link to the manual section:

the fuse is #39 They make this easy for you to find. You put in your model and year and then you can search the manual for what you need. i.e. 'fuse' BUT I suspect (just a guess) it is not a fuse because the fuse is a 20 amp fuse and also supports the fuel injection system. There are other fuses that support the fuel injection system too (?!?) but if none of your brake lights are working including the third high brake light then pull this one and see if it is blown.
Here is the link for the full manual:

Lastly, I think you should submit the idea to Toyota: Break light! Great idea!

You might start by looking at the owner's manual. If you do not have it, download it here: You have a 9 yr old vehicle with low mileage. Generally the rule is that if it has been through very heavy duty for its 30,000 miles, change oils ahead of the recommendation (maybe 25-33% ahead of the recommendation). Severity of operating environment and vehicle use should be the key, not so much age.

What happens at 97,000 mile check up

You may be able to get a user manual at Toyota's website or ask for one at you local dealer. Or, if you've ever had the vehicle service, the facility that serviced it should have a manual with the info you want.

Should my highlander with 70000 miles need automatic transmission fluid flush and a power steering flush?

it never hurts to service the power steering and the transmission, but at 70xxxmi it is not necessary if you check the owners manual it should show a transmission service at 100xxxmi but you will find nothing in the owners manual about the power steering this is a fairly new thing that we are seeing some shops do, i am not sold on weather it needs done at all.

I have a 2006 Toyota Highlander Limited with original Panasonic Battery. Purchased vehicle new in Dec. 2005. Know the battery can't last much longer and need to know what is best replacement battery for...

My 2004 v6 2wd highlander has the same battery, and I am just now replacing it. What is that 7 years? I found via google that it has 550 CCA. I think it would have lasted longer if not for kids leaving lights on every few weeks and an unusually cold winter for this far south.
