Question about 2005 Mazda Tribute
I came home from a weekend vacation and my battery was drained. A friend came over and we tried jump starting it with his car. We let it charge for maybe 20 min and tried to start it maybe 4 times. Finally, I said lets just get a battery charger from the store and charge it over night. We got one, took it home and I charged it for about 10 min and it said it was fully charged, but since i've taken it out I get no dash lights or anything when I try to start it. The next morning I tried it again and now my gages move, the anti-theft light blinks, and the low battery light comes on when I try to start it. Should I take it out again and charge it? I'm afraid if I do, I'll be back to square one again and get no response from trying to start it. Dose my car have an immobilizer on it as a anti-theft device, is that what I'm up against when I remove the battery? My connections are tight, and lights and radio work, and I dont' have any blown fuses from jumping it. I really need to get this fixed so I can be back at work again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Joe
Hello everyone I had the exact same problem this morning. .antitheft light blinking rapidly unable to start . After screwing around with everything. I finally disconnected my battery positive connection left it off for a few minutes. Then reconnected it tried to start nothing happened.I then located my fuel pump reset located on my passage side of my 2010 mazda tribute reset it and it started no problem. Hope this helps anyone in the future with his issue.
