Radio wont turn off after key is removed and open door. After some time it turns off by itself. Also batt light comes on when I turn key to off position. Power windows still work as well as power locks. 2003 Trailblazer ltz 4.2 4wd

Does the dome light come on when you open the door? It should work off the same trigger.

cud hav computer or module issues--a readout scan shud b done-it shows voltages that a tech can decyfer------try using anothr key-chip cud b worn---------or disconnect batt a few --------or pull plug on computer and clean it-pins get dirty-----may reboot to normal--------go to a private shop for scan-not a dealer

how are you cking for draw? how long before batt dies ,1 day 2 ,3 or more? there are normal amounts of draw in all late model cars,and with a door open you will have different levels of draw for a couple of min after key is removed and doors fully closed,see if door ajar light stays on ,ford switches in the door lock mechs get sticky,just soak with wd40 and work all doors a few times ,they usually come back to life

Have the door ajar switches scanned, one may be sticking on.

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter,altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

Not the Key but the ignition itself. Replace teh ignition module where the key is inserted to start the vehicle and that should resolve the issue.

It sounds like you have an aftermarket head unit that was wired incorrectly. There is a wire for power (activated by turning the key) and also a wire that powers the clock and keeps the settings (hot at all times).

It may be a short in the door sensor itself. You can always remove the bulb for the time being. Otherwise, wires, relays, and door senor will have to be tested for short or open circuit.

BFC that body function controller. BFC batt fuse controls .the body function controller .its part of the PCM.the BFC controls anti theft system. your interior lights -drl lights- radio -door locks.if your check engine light is on take it to dealership.because your BFC and PCM works together. your car could shut off. that unsafe.when you on a busy highway.you have electrical problem.not a home fix.

Look on Ebay for a remote, purchase it and program it to your car.(it should come with instructions), then the problem should be solved.
