When turning on my heater I discovered only the defrost is working. No air is coming out on any other settings and when turning the setting all the way right(defrost mode) It seems to be on the setting but the knob doesn't look as if its all the was over. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it I'd appreciate your help. My email is [email protected]

Look under the left side of vehicle (RHD vehicles)right side of vehicle (LHD) in centre of car for heater cable going to heater case control levers on side of case can see it better if glove box removed. make sure cable is clipped in its retainer clip properly/ remove and adjust cable while control lever is over all the way and flap controls on case are fully over in that same direction as cable moved when putting control lever all the way over and clip into retainer. if cable doesnt move when moving control lever its probably come out of clip other end of cable in behind control lever or snapped the usual is glove box/heater case side first second is cable snapping behind control levers.

1996 Montero Heater Blower not working

I assume your heater setting is electric control, if so either your defrost and floor heat switch failed or wire problem. For the air not hot, check the heat control valve on the top of the hose it should be in front of the firewall. I don't know your car is using mechanic valve or electric control valve. Anyway check there first. Good luck.

Why my window is fogging whe i turn the heater ?? i recently bought my toyota carina 3 model 1994 but the window is fogging , what should i do?

Make sure the vent system is set to draw air from outside. If it is set to recirculate the same air that's inside the vehicle without drawing fresh air from outside, the resulting humidity that builds up inside the vehicle can fog the windows even when you run the defrost. You can also try opening the windows a bit to get some more air moving inside.
If it still fogs when the vents are set properly, you may have a leaky heater core. The heater core is a small radiator that is located under the dash that the heater system blows air through to heat the inside of your car and provide heat to defrost the windshield. The fog may be coming from the heater core leaking hot coolant steam that's being circulated through the defrost system. If this is so, you will need to replace the heater core.

My Defrost doesn't work

Check to see if the duct hose to the defroster vents has come loose. If air is blowing out under the dash when you have the control set to defrost, then this is likely.

Front defogger blows out heater vent when set on DEF. All of the heater, a/c, settings work properly. One day, I turned on the DEF and the warm air blows out of the heater vents, not the defroster area. I...

Sounds like the flap valve in your vent system that allows air to go to the defrosters is either jammed or broken. Unfortunately you will have to take the vent system apart to look.

Ac compressor goes on an off, even when the a/c is off... The heater works fine ..... The a/c works occaiconally....The system has been filled 2 months ago.... No leakage...... The compressor always stops...

Most cars and trucks are set for the A/C to run in defrost. Even if you have the temp at hot. The air will pass through the evaporator core first witch draws moisture out of the air. That is why you see water dripping out of a car with the air on and sitting at one place.

The dry air makes the defroster work faster. It is a safety feature.

replace the vacuum mode control switch in the heater control, this is a dealer only part.

93 ford festiva heater only blows cold air.

The heater only blows HOT air when set on defrost or floor settings. If you have the lever set for vent, only cold air will come out. Check to make sure you set the controls to floor or defrost. This is standard for all Festiva's.
