My 2005 Dodge Durango radio randomly changeselected bands from satellite to FM

This may be due to the radio sensing a loss of satellite signal (a building, newer interstate freeway overpass, interference from microwave towers) and then the radio goes to another feed.

05 dodge durango 5.7 hemi. When I step on gas to accelerate I hear a loud sweaking sound. It just started tonight what could it be.

Hi Mary:
Squeaks from the engine area will be coming from moving non-lubricated parts.
Try checking:
- Serpentine belt. These will squeak like crazy if they have anti-freeze on them.
- Water pump. They have a bushing with a seal. Even if the seal is still not leaking, the bushing can be worn and will make some noise.
- Alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning pump can all have similar broblems with bearings.
MECHANICS TRICK! Use a stethescope to listen near the part you're checking. This is a mechanics stethescope, not the doctors kind. I just use a 2 ft long piece of 1/2" wood dowell. Hold it at one end with my thumb over the end, put my thumb against my ear, and touch the part that I'm checking. Obviously, the motor has to be running while you do this, so STAY SAFE! Do not let the dowell touch any moving parts. No kidding. Your motor can talk to you.

High Pitched ear ringing sound coming thru somewhere up front by navigator system

Some things I would check are do you have blue tooth in operation. Do you have any form of michrophone in the cab as it sounds like a feed back problem coming through your speakers. Talk to a radio techie to see what he thinks

My 2005 durango will continue to run after shutting off and while running if you push the accelerator it does nothing. Like you were not even pushing it at all

I too have a 2005 Dodge Durango. We had the same problem about 2 years ago. Something is getting wet under the hood. After careful inspection under the hood, we noticed a mechanical or fuse box was getting wet. We took off the sunroof visor that was over the sunroof because we felt that was holding water causing it to run down into the hood. The box was replaced and it worked fine until last year when it did it again. This time, when it rained water would wet the inside driver floor and the radio and alarm would sound on it's own. My husband inspected the truck thoroughly again to see where the water was coming from. The front windshield bottom seal had deteriorated. after getting that replaced we have had no more problems. I wish you luck

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango 4.7 that ran out of gas in my driveway. I have since put 6 gallons of fuel in it, but it will not start and the gas gauge isn't registering the fuel. Any advice would be much...

check the fuel pump fuse and the relay. check to see if you can hear to pump running when you turn the key to the run pos. open the fuel door and remove the cap stick your ear close to the filler tube and have some one turn the key to the run pos without starting if you do hear anything and all fuses and relays are good get a test light and probe the power wire going to the pump. (follow the harness that goes above fuel tank. if you dont knoe which one is the power wire coming from that little harness just try probing alll of them one at a time.but, every time you go to a differnt wire you must cycle the key off then to the run pos. while the test light is touching inside the wire.
if the light comes on go under the hood and look at your fuel rail there should be a vavle that looks like a vavle stem on your cars tire press it while key is on if it very low pressure replace pump.if it has a lot of pressure you dont have a fuel issue.

2004 Dodge Durango Radio will not come on

Sounds like the fuse went out to me. The fuse box is located next to the emergency brake and the radio fuse will be labeled. I believe it is a 25-fuse which should be clear in color.
