Question about Plymouth Voyager

1 Answer

I have a 1998 Plymouth Voyager ... was driving on the Highway about 110k/hr .. van worked fine but when I slowed down to about 50k/hr it shifted funny and then would not shift back into High .. I pulled off to the side of the road and sat for about 10min and then it worked fine again until the next time I slowed down .. seems like it over heats and won't shift properly.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1998 Plymouth Voyager van that I changed the ignition switch and now the dash lights won't go off.

Is the headlight switch in the steering column? If so you may want to take the covers off the column if you had them off earlier and look and see if you pinched a wire or put a screw in a wire. It sounds like you my have done something when you replaced the switch

1994 Plymouth Voyager 3.3 The "Check Engine Light" comes on after driving 6 miles on open highway.

Take to local auto parts store and they will usually run codes for free and from there you can find the most likely source of the problem area.

My 1997 Plymouth Voyager mini van started to overheat and slow down while driving, pulled over to side of road to let it cool off and to check coolant, and now will not start, its been almost 12 hours, all...

if after it cooled usually about 1/2 hr and it wount start then younnedd to replace the temp control sensor as the sensor is fried and now stuck in closed position and their is no way to get back into open position the heat prob.melted the insides together.

Shifting problems when hot

These kinds of problems are common on the dodge mini vans, I think you will need to overhaul the trans, it has an internal fluid leak, one other thing to check is the electrical connector to the trans, make sure it is tight and has no corrosion or fluid in it, a poor connector connection can also cause these kinds of issues hot.
