You'll have to remove the torque converter to flexplate bolts and push the converter back a little when you pull the trans. out.

How to remove the engine from the torque convertor on a Ford 345C Skip Loader?

When removing an engine from any automatic box the best tip is to remove the bolts holding the torque converter to the flex plate/flywheel and leave the torque converter in position on the shaft in the front of the box. It will move back to the box enough to separate the engine . Turn the engine around to get to each bolt. If the transmission is going to be unsupported then restrain the torque converter with a plate bolted through a flange hole or a strap across the front a note here is that what you call a skip loader may be known as a skid steer loader in which case there will be no torque converter as it hooks directly to a hydraulic pump via a splined shaft.

How do you change a flywheel on a 1998 Ford Expedition, 5.4 L Eddie Bauer edition??

You will need to remove the transmission and (transfer case )if equipped to gain access to the flywheel. Once the tranny is out of the way you will be looking at the flywheel. If it is an automatic you will need to remove the torque converter bolts from the flywheel before tranny removal. Also if it is an automatic be sure to get the torque converter to engage the front pump in the tranny when you reinstall.

The bell housing on the transmission does not have a removable cover. how can i get to the bolts that hold the fly wheel and torqe converter together.

Hi,
I reckon they figure, if you have to remove the flywheel or torque converter, you have to separate the engine and tranny, anyway.

Change out flywheel

when tranny is pulled back from engine, you then pull off torque converter, and then you should have five bolts on flywheel.

Must install converter into tranny first. Then bolt torque converter to flywheel after you slide it into place. Make sure converter slips into tranny..you will need to turn it several times untill it fits into grrove inside tranny.:)
