Follow the big hose from the top of the radiator back to the engine. IT is in the connection where the hose fits on the engine.

Timing, both valve and ignition. another thing i would recommend is not to make the fan a solid drive, more beneficial to fit electric fan on a thermostat to assist the viscous fan, a few more ideas is an oil cooler on the transmission and possibly have your transmission adjusted. when I changed the tranny in my ford cured my heating problem

1998 Isuzu Amigo Overheating 2.2L

It's venting compression into the cooling system. Anything from a bad head gasket to a cracked head or block. Start the engine cold and see if the pressure jumps up quick before the engine is even to running temperature. If so that's what it is.

check your coolant level. Check to make sure your cooling fan is running, Thermostat could be an issue also. Also check water pump. To check thermostat feel top radiator hose when vehicle heats up if it gets hot your thermostat is probably working if it does not then ur thermostat is probably stuck closed and needs to be changed. If your water pump is leaking out the weep hole (small hole at neck of water pump) then you will need to change the pump because it is going or has gone out.

V6 amigo overheated and lost coolant out of the lower rear of the engine. No moiosture in oil or white smoke. stopped running and won't start. Feel some compression out of the top of radiator when I try to...

Your head gasket has blown out of the side. It'll blow air into the water passage and this is why you feel air out of the top of the radiator. It blew away from the oil passage and this is why you don't have water in the oil.

Thermostat on 1998 Isuzu Amigo

Yes, It's under the intake manifold. The manifold would need to be removed Lower hose from radiator is attached to steel pipe leading to it. It will not be an easy mission, and the new thermostat is rated for I believe 170 degrees. That's not much help to keep the interior warm with a rag top when it's 20 below zero.

You can boost the heating level by adding vinyl cover over the front portion of grill. Any boat interior shop has the material. Modify any large air leaks. Use the fan to keep fresh air filling vehicle, not recirculate.
