Sure I just replaced mine today. Its easy, first get a scratch awl or a very small pilips screw driver, put your key in the ignition and turn it to the postion where it would be if your vehicle would be in if the motor was running, next take that sharp scratch awl or small philips screw driver and on the botom side of the switch housing pointing to about your right knee when sitting in the drivers seat you will see a small hole just under the base of the ignition switch a small hole, put that sharp scratch awl in that small hole and with one hand wiggle the key back and forth in the running positon, you will feel the awl go in a little bit and after that pull the key and the ignition out of the side of the steering column, the key and the igntion will all come out as one unit. The same thing goes for putting the new one in place. Good Luck!!

You need to check the fuel pump cutoff switch (located in kick panel), see if the wires to the switch are burned and melted, if they are buy a repair connector from Ford and replace the switch. Also the ignition starter switches in this truck have a habit of coming apart and causing a loss of power to the fuel pump or the ignition system. The switch is operated by a long rod from the ignition lock cylinder and it mounted to the steering column tube down near the bottom of column

How do I replace a coilpac on a 1998 for f150?

They are usually bolted down with a 8mm bolt. Remove that bolt, unplug the connector and pull out the coil pack and boot. Some Fords you'll need to remove the fuel rail to get the coil packs out.
