my thoughts are there is a vacum ball thats failing or leaking, or a heater control valve or even a selinoid, or door flap not opening or closing do these make any sense?

  • joey-dee71 Jul 28, 2008

I also pulled the climate controller out and opened it, and I found no burn spots is there a way to bypass this unit to verify it's either working or not?

  • joey-dee71 Jul 28, 2008

keep in mind when i first start the vehicle its just outside temperture until the car heats to the point when the thermostat opens up , then its like the heat is on blowing thru the dash vents where the a/c should be blowing. somewhere it seems the air is blowing thru the heater core instead od the evaporator, does that make sense to you.

the unit is holding its freon charge no leaks and checked three timee times in the past week,m right now its holding 2.7 pds still but its blowing air thru the wrong pasage way I'm pretty sure. can you call me

  • joey-dee71 Jul 28, 2008

I rememner years ago I had a cadilac eldarado and it had a heater ball underneath the dash, where vacum lines hook, and the ball tell the air were to go, and change the route of the air to either bring cold thru the a/c or heat thru the heating core is that something that can be an issue? or a heater control valve?

you have to get the router of your freon checked if it has leak or it is worn out.

O answered this question My freon is holding just fine.

  • joey-dee71 Jul 28, 2008

there is no leak, and I did the die test under ultra violet light , there some how is a wrong path the air is taking thru the ducks, by a door or plap not opening or closing where and when it should.

Please trust me there is no leak of freon. This has been tested for leaks is not the case here.

By the way the two pipes that go to the evaporator, one is very hot while the other is ice cold, u know the aluminum lines. the compressor kicks in , but never kicks off it not being satisfied by the climate control because the car keeps blowing hot air thru the vents. I'm sure there is a vacum or f;[ar not opening or closing where and when it supposed to. The air is traveling the wrong highway byway what ever LOL

There's probably a leak on your airconditioning that's why it's now blowing hot air so have it check for leak..

Hope that helps.......

Check the amount of refrigerant. Even if the compressor is running doesn''t mean it has the right amount. Need a set of gauges to check pressure on the high side and low side for a good diagnosis so we can also say that there's a leak..

Sorry cannot call you , By the way did you try bringing this to a airconditioning and let them diagnose it?? Because with my car it took a month before finding the leak it may need to undergo several leak checking..

    Good luck..........

NEW AIR COMPRESSOR ON 2003 MERCURY SABLE AND ONLY BLOWS HOT AIR

Check that the wiring for the compressor clutch is connected. Have the system checked for the correct amount of gas as too little or too much will stop the clutch of the compressor. If the old compressor failed and the system didn't have a new receiver/dryer fitted there is every possibility that the tx valve is blocked. have the pressure in the system checked while running.as a blockage will switch off the clutch also.

2004 camry ac light blinking and throws hot air. Suggestions?

My 2003 Toyota Camry AC often starts blowing hot air and the AC light starts blinking. I don't know why the following process works, but it does. Using the temp selector (left) reduce the temperature all the way down to Max Cold and then push the Auto button. It will start blowing out very cold air. After a little while push the temp selector to the desired temperature.

Air conditioner doesn't work blows out hot air

Does the compressor magnetic clutch operate the compressor? If so, then the coolant has probably leaked out of the system. If clutch doesn't operate the compressor, possible fuse blown, bad relay, or open winding in compressor clutch.

A/C won't blow cold

check the compressor clutch, if it still won't blow cold, the system may have bled off its refrigerant charge, you may have to have it recharged at a shop.
