I have a 1997 Eagle Talon with a 2.0 DOHC. After engine sets idle for a few hours it will have to be wound over for about 1 minute before it starts to fie and then evenuly starts up. Its letting the gas get away from the fuel rail. If I sycle the key switch about 8 to 10 times and then try to start it it will run. I replaced the fuel pump thinking the check value in the pump was bad, wrong. It still does the same. Thinking injectors are leaking by, any way to check before commiting more money? Thanks

Dsm skeem/ The wires from the injectors run right back to the cars E.C.M A bad wire or connection at the computer harness may be the problem. check for signal at the injector connector using a noid test light. If u do have power then its more than likely the injectors are bad.

Having a problem with my 1994 eagle talon. no

shake at idle means u have a cylinder misfire or low commpression, here are causes of misfires most commonly seen.

The most common misfire causes on the cars I've worked on have been:
  1. Spark plugs
  2. Spark plug wires
  3. Ignition coil
  4. Fuel injector
  5. Wiring to fuel injector
  6. Timing Belt
  7. Vacuum leak or stuck open EGR
  8. Contaminated fuel or bad fuel pump
  9. Weak compression
  10. Blown head gasket

One cylinder wont fire. its getting spark.

Hi:
If that cylinder is getting spark, and the engine isn't out of time, it must not be getting fuel?

Perhaps you can try checking the fuel injector to that cylinder?

You can run an ohms test on them to make sure they all work.

My 1990 eagle talon is getting fuel to the injectors but there is no fuel spraying out of the injectors

well it sounds like you either have bad or clogged fuel injectors or your fuel system doesn't have enough pressure. you may have a leak in the line or your fuel pump is going bad.
