That would be your serpentine belt, you need to get it replaced. It could also be your belt tensioner, your local mechanic will be able to look at it and replace it for you for fairly cheap.

Just started hearing a clicking noise coming from the rear of my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500....5.7 V-8 Hemi.....Checked both rear brake, and that doesnt seem to be the problem...From some research, I think it...

Could this clicking sound be coming from the engine area? Hemi's are known for breaking exhaust manifold bolts and making a clicking sound which is a exhaust leak..

Have a 2005 dodge ram with 5.7 hemi has an eng

Dodge/Chrysler EGR valves are known to be unreliable. The one on my wife's 05 Grand Caravan died in the 40k miles range.

They are not really serviceable. The usual fix is replacement. Part will be between $50 and $150 depending on where you get it. Installation most of the time is 2-4 bolts and the harness.

Engine noise

First let me say that at 7000 miles no noise is completely normal, make sure the dealer noted the problem so if it becomes a defect your covered, second, with it being so new, anything you might do on your own could void your warrenty!!! That being said, i would start with only using a high octane fuel, as low grade fuels are known to cause valve ping, this is probably what your hearing, if after a few tanks of high octane it still continues, take it back to the dealer, if they give you the same story, go to another dodge dealer, ALL dodge dealers will look at it, and if you tell them the people you bought it from are ignoring your problem they will be more than happy to get your business and tell you the truth, good luck!

Whining coming from washer fluid reservoir area, engine is off?

A whining noise in that area is most likely the power steering pump. Does it do it with the engine running or when the engine is off?
