Question about 1995 Saab 900
This guy is full of ****!! There is no room for the old belt to go.I just did one of these tonight.Line up all the marks and hold the cams in place with 4 pairs of vice grips,I was doing heads on it so I had the valve covers off. This engine must have the belt done every 30k!! It is no good design that chews up the belts(thanks Saab/GM)I tell my customers if they are thinking of buying one of these things do the right thing,GO BUY TOYOTA!!!

BEFORE TAKING BELT OFF LOSEN VERY LITTLE AND SLIDE OLD BELT BACK ON PULLEYS ALL ROUND BELT EDGE FACING YOU THEN PUT NEW ONE ON SPACE LEFT AND KEEP PUSHING OLD BELT BACK WHEN HALF WAY ON CUT OLD BELT WITH SLICES AWAY FROM NEW BELT REMEMBER YOU MUST KEEP IT TIGHT ENOUGH SO PULLEY POSITON DOSE NOT MOVE IF IT DOSE YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE TIMING SETTING TOOL FOR THAT ENGINE DO NOT NOT NOT TRY TO START ENGINE IF BELT ORIGINAL SETTING LOST OR YOU WILL WREAK YOUR ENGINE
