2003 mercury grand marquis dies shortly after I start it and dies even faster when u step on the gas. When its running for a minute it fluctuates and eventually dies.

Could be the mass air flow(MAF) sensor. Unplug it, see if it keeps running. Unplugging it throws the PCM in default mode. Before replacing it, clean it and the throttle body with brake clean. Spray down the sensor and use a tooth brush on the throttle. Clean were the inside plate seats, top and bottom. After that if it still dies( I would put t on a scanner and read codes first) , replace the MAF. Ford did have MAF sensor that wouldn't pop a code, but were out of perimeters. Leaving it unplugged will result in really bad fuel mileage and take a toll on the catalytic converters.

Sometimes you have to admit defeat an take it to a professional repair shop ! What do you mean master flow sensor ? If you posted correct part names we mite be able to help ! I assume you mean mass air flow sensor ? The air passages for the IAC valve maybe plugged . Clean it out ! Hooking vehicle up to a professional grade scan tool to see if the computer is controlling the IAC valve would be a big help ! There are videos on you tube on how to test , how to clean etc....

Where is a master air flow value located?

It is the Mass Air Flow Sensor. It is located in the air supply shroud, before the fuel injection system. It will have wires running to it.

Where is a master air flow value 2003 chev silverado?

Are you asking about the Mass Air flow Sensor? In Most cases it is located in the tube where the air filter is housed. Its about the size of a fat credit card. or half an old i-phone. This either needs to be replaced, or cleaned. If you opt to clean it, you have to buy a special spray designed for Mass Air Flow Sensors, you must not touch any of the parts where the sensor core is, handle from the part where it bolts in, otherwise you will ruin the sensor.

My 1992 nissan sentra backfires and has a loss of power.

A possible problem with the mass air flow sensor. Make sure they hooked up the air filter duct work to the throttle and the air filter box itself is closed tight. There is a fine wire inside the sensor, and this may have gotten disturbed when the master and slave were installed. Check the wiring right to it and make sure it's plugged in tight. This is the sensor that is on the air filter box in the duct work to the throttle. This can cause plenty of running issues and never turn the check engine light on. If you do need to replace your mass air flow sensor this site looks like it has cheap prices, free shipping and great reviews http://www.buyautoparts.com/mass-air-flow-meter.html

The MAF sensor is part of the fuel injection system, it's usually found inside the air duct between the air filter and the engine.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have a them reset the codes. You can fix an error code and go check it right after and it will still be throwing codes. So just have them reset it.
