1998 land rover discovery. Fuel pump recently replaced, but now pump does not shut off after 5 sec when it should when engine is started. any suggestions?

Try fuel pump relay could be sticking


There are 2 relays located in
the RH footwell area behind the ’A’ post trim panel.


The fuel injection relays can be identified as follows:


A. Fuel pump relay - Blue base

B. Main relay - Black base



The relay i think a 30amp relay 4 pin

hope it helps in some way enjoy

The fuel pump must run constantly while the engine is running.There is a return for excess fuel back to the tank.
