Nope...replace the cluster. Sorry, but it's true.

Where the fused box on a 1986 ford f150

Try looking on the side of the driver's side dashboard. In other words, open the driver door, and right there at the end side of the dashboard there may be a removable section; (a ''cover'' that looks the same as the dashboard material). There are fuses in there. There should also be an engine related fuse box under the hood on the side of one of the fenders. The inside fuse box is for stuff like accessories, brake lights, directional signals, etc... // It _is_ possible to only have one under the hood, but Ford usually has a second one on the driver side end of the dashboard. (Mine is 2004, so I'm not _certain_ of yours).

None of the dashboard lights come on when I start my 98 mustang, could it be as simple as a fuse?

turn the knob for the headlights all the way to the left and then the right. it's also a dimmer for the dash lights.

I need the location of the fuse for the dashboard lights. Thanks.

Cab fuse panel, fuse # 18

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

How to replace dashboard lites on 2004 F150

Locate the knob or dial that controls the brightness of the dashboard lights. If the control is not immediately evident, check your owner's manual.

Make sure the brightness control is turned on. If it is and the lights aren't working, the problem may be a bad fuse.

Check the fuse that controls the dashboard lights. Replace the fuse if necessary.

Call your mechanic if neither of these steps fixes your problem.

How to fix a peeling dashboard in my 2003 yukon xl?

Peeling dashboard? I take it that its from the sun fading it and its now dryed up and peeling? Not a whole lot to do for this problem. One would be to buy a very inexpensive dash cover(kind of like a carpet for the dash) and the other would be replacing the dash(very expensive) They do sell dash repair kits, although I have never heard of much success with these paste mix kits.

Where is the fuse box panel located on the 2006 Ford F150

The fuse panel is on the left side of the dashboard; open the driver's side door and look at the end of the dashboard; you will see the access plate, it will have a "thumb-hook" on it where you can pull it off with your fingers...the fuse panel is right behind that plate.

There is another fuse panel under the hood but that is more for AC relays and ignition coils and such...the one you want is on the left end of the dashboard.

Hope this helps!

1999 windstar engine knocks under load and dashboard lights acting strange, flashing on and off, fading in and out

The first item to look into is the a;alternator and the surrounding parts.

Here's the check list

alternator turning smoothly?

belt tensioner jumpy/hopping/swing?

worn belt?

locate the knock sound....most likely from belt tensioner and belt.

Check voltage on battery. It should be between12.6-13.4V

Good luck
